# Accessibility statement

Analgesic Healthcare wants every visitor to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, zoom or high-contrast settings.

## Our goal

This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. It does not use an accessibility overlay. The accessibility is in the page code itself.

## What we do

-   Text and buttons meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1.
-   Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring and a "Skip to content" link.
-   Pages use real headings, lists, labels and landmarks, so screen readers can move through them.
-   Form fields have labels above them, and errors are announced in plain words.
-   Buttons and links are large enough to tap, and nothing depends on hover.
-   Motion is kept small and stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
-   Every page also has a plain text version at the same address ending in .md.

## Known limits

Some older articles have images whose descriptions came from the original site. The live chat window and the invoice payment portal are run by other companies, and we cannot change their code.
