With the SNAP benefits pause and challenges tied to the government shutdown, many households across Tampa Bay suddenly found themselves without the food support they rely on. As requests for help surged, Metropolitan Ministries put out the call, and Analgesic Healthcare wanted to contribute. _“When we saw what was happening with the SNAP delay and how hard it hit families, we knew we couldn’t just sit on the sidelines,”_ said Roy Edgerton, CEO of Analgesic Healthcare. _“This community has always supported us, and it’s important for us to show up for them, especially now.”_ The company’s contribution is helping the nonprofit keep up with a record number of families seeking holiday meals, emergency food bags, and basic essentials. Many of these families saw their budgets stretched thin as federal benefits were paused, leaving them unsure of how they would put food on the table. Beyond financial support, AHC employees are pitching in through food drives, volunteer shifts, and collecting holiday items for children and seniors. The company says the goal is simple: to make sure families facing unexpected hardship still feel cared for and supported this season. As the Tampa Bay community continues to navigate the fallout from the SNAP pause and government shutdown, Analgesic Healthcare hopes their involvement encourages more local organizations to join in and lend a hand. ## Keep reading - [Analgesic Healthcare Launches $50K Fundraiser to Support Metropolitan Ministries’ Holiday MissionAnalgesic Healthcare is raising $50,000 to support Metropolitan Ministries’ mission to provide Tampa Bay families with food, gifts, and hope this Christmas.](https://analgesic.multisites.ai/analgesic-healthcare-launches-50k-fundraiser) - [Analgesic Healthcare Deepens Commitment to Community with Continued Support for Metropolitan MinistriesAnalgesic Healthcare proudly reaffirms its long-standing commitment to the community through continued partnership with Metropolitan Ministries, a leading...](https://analgesic.multisites.ai/analgesic-healthcare-deepens-commitment-to-community) - [Analgesic Healthcare Joins Metropolitan Ministries to Support “Triple Match” Initiative at Bridge Builders EventAnalgesic Healthcare supports Metropolitan Ministries’ Bridge Builders event, boosting impact through a powerful Triple Match donation initiative.](https://analgesic.multisites.ai/analgesic-healthcare-joins-metropolitan-ministries-to-support-triple-match-initiative-at-bridge-builders-event) - [Metropolitan Ministries (Bridge Builders 2023)We care for the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless in our community through services that alleviate suffering, promote dignity and instil...](https://analgesic.multisites.ai/metropolitan-ministries-bridge-builders-2023) - [AHC Launches Its Annual Holiday…Analgesic Healthcare, Inc. has been committed to helping those in need throughout the community and also working with charities nationally for over 30 years.](https://analgesic.multisites.ai/ahc-launches-its-annual-holiday) - [AHC Sends Holiday Cards to TroopsTampa, Fla., (December 28, 2016) - Tampa-based country radio station, WQYK, continues its holiday tradition of sending “10,000 Cards for the Troops”...](https://analgesic.multisites.ai/ahc-sends-holiday-cards-to-troops) ## Questions about your unit or a bill?
